Two words that should not go together

Stretch.....Satin.

Fashion week is upon us, and while reading the different coverage, and clips it made me think of my most hated trend of late. People in stretch satin dresses. And here's why, even if you have a great body and are in top physical condition. The sheen of the satin will reflect any small teeeennnnyyyy tiny flaw in your body. I find that many people wear this fabric because they are bamboozled by the stretch, they think it's comfy and look how easily it zipped, it totally fits. And that same sheen that is spotlighting your flaws no matter how tiny or large is somehow a reflective device when said garmet is being viewed in a mirror. The sheen somehow blinds us from seeing what it is spotlighting for everyone else. Whether that be the doughnut sized ring it reflects around your belly button (which would go TOTALLY unnoticed in any other fabric), or the line it is cutting across your back from your underwear (eventhough you DON'T have a muffin top in any other article of clothing) and I can't even get into what it does to cellulite (which by the way we ALL have to some degree). I honestly think someone should write a memo/note to Nicole Miller wonderful designer, constant offender of the strecth satin, and implore her to just use Satin. Leave the stretch at home.
