Okay I don't get it, but allright

I bought a $16 zebra belt at Target a couple months ago. I'm not super big into patterns, read as my whole closet is full of solids, so I thought it would be a good way to break that up, and it was cheap! I get compliments on it everytime I wear it. But I never really realized what a statement piece it was in my outfit till I wore it with a pair of cream and silver linen shorts. All day/night people kept commenting on my belt, and all I could think was I am wearing silver sparkle shorts people, why the hell does everyone care about this stupid belt.
