The other day coming home from work there was a magician in my subway car.
Let me repeat - a magician on my train!
With a live dove and a rabbit.
Never spoke a word, just performed his tricks between stops and then passed around a hat.
As I was telling Husband about the Magician he turned to me and said,
"You're Dad would have loved it."
And it's true. More than anyone else I know.
I can just picture his big smile and the way his whole body would shake when he laughed.
He would try to be subtle in his signs - a wink, a nudge, a nod of the head.
But there was nothing subtle about my Dad.
"Would you get a load of this?"
That's exactly what he would say.
Wish he could have seen it.
he did.
