Sometimes it's what you least expect . . .

Hello, lovelies!

So sorry to been have so silent.
We just got back from Paris and it was an awesome trip.
The neighborhoods, the food, the weather, the museums, the people, the sights -
I loved it all.

But my favorite parts of the trip were the most unexpected -
the little things you come upon in a happenstance way.

One night we got caught in the rain on our way home -
it was actually very beautiful.

Huddled in a window to wait out the downpour Husband turned and said look -
it was the most amazing kitchen.
I wanted to crawl through the glass and set up permanent residence.

Never would have paid any attention had we not been stuck in the rain.
Or the charming and unique flower shops that turned up in every neighborhood.
How fantastic is this one?

It seemed like every high, stone wall housed a secret garden.
I love that.
How great to be eating lunch across from this little gem?

One afternoon I was walking through the Marais heading back to meet Husband.
As I came into a square there were about  15 people standing with their instruments playing Cannon in D.
It was so unexpected and so beautiful.
I love that some had music in front and some didn't.
Some just played from memory.

Spring is slowly ending and summer will soon be upon us.
Keep your eyes open for all the little treasures.
