Don't Say I Never Did Nothing for ya . . .

One of my besties, Punk Rock has a beautiful new home.
She also had a fantastic little boy.
Between the new home and the new boy she doen't have a lot of time on her hands.

She's still working on decorating her gorgeous new home.
We were chatting about it last time I was home.
She wanted a simple design with minimal furniture.
The room will also be sharing space with the dining table.

I forwarded some ideas for her.
Here they are:

I think she dug them.
But that presented a new problem -
how to find the perfect wing chairs.

Well, I'm not a girl to abandon a friend in need.
Whatever that need may be.

So when I spied the following little beaut's at Z Gallerie -
I thought of my dear Punk Rock immediately.

Find it here.

Super fabulous, right?
LOVE the nailhead detail.
And the leather will be friendly for those little finger prints from her son.
Also love the idea of pulling this up to a dining table.
Comme ca.

If you were scared of the white -  the chocolate leather is fantastic as well.

Find this guy here.
And HE's ON SALE!!
HOLLA!
Also loved the shape of this number.
Also on sale.
Can be found right here.

And I just love this chair.
Also on sale.
Be still my beating heart.

All right, I might need to get to work on buying a beach house
for this lovely little number.

The most annoying thing about being single.

He is super responsive with calls, texts and emails, except when he’s not.The BlackBerry can be used as a powerful weapon, and its powers of manipulation are mighty. While not necessarily malicious, unreturned calls and texts tend to mean something is up, especially if it’s out of the ordinary. Uggghhhh technology keeps us in such constant contact with people. Sometimes that's good. Like when you are hearing from the person all the time. Sometimes it's bad, like when you notice you are no longer hearing from someone all the time. I swear to god, e-mails and texts, BBM's, MMS, all the different way we have to message each other. And the last guy I dated I never even had a phone conversations with. This is in stark contract to first real grown-up relationship, that did include technology and e-mail. But let's face it 8 years ago when I would e-mail with my guy, they were like actual full-page letters to each other. As of late I feel lucky to get more than 5 sentences from a guy at a time. Yeah when you put all the back and forth together there is maybe a full page there, but hello that took ALL day. And hey I'm just going to end this post with the idea that there’s nothing that makes someone seem more insecure than the sentence, “Why didn’t you return my text—where were you?”

What I'm totally craving. . .

Did you think it was going to be something else?
This is the current situation in my sink.
Grapes and strawberries and blueberries - Oh MY!

Normally in  summer I'm all about ice cream.
Loads of it.

This year Husband and I have been all about fruit.
Maybe we're maturing.

I can't wait to eat cold grapes.
MMMMMM - don't be jealous.

Clarification

I'm not engaged. I don't even have a boyfriend. Tizzy just likes to plan my wedding. Apparently she has now picked out my wedding for Chicago. She also currently has plans in place for a wedding in Lake Geneva Wisconsin, and Rome Italy. Too bad things never really got off the ground with Allesandro. But boy did that fling send Tizzy's Rome wedding planning into overdrive.

PS: I like this dress better than the one you have picked for beach destination wedding. It's a little TOO pretty though I want something with a little more of an edge. But we're heading in the right direction.

A new front runner...

for Lish's wedding dress.
(Le Sigh)

And just to keep it straight.
This would be my selection for your Chicago Wedding.
(I'm think the Saddle & Cycle Club)

But you and your soon-to-be wed Husband
must stay at the Elysium
so we can take pictures with this chandelier.

I think my work here is done.
(For now)

Don't stop get it get it!!!!!

That has been my mantra lately. I have been shopping till I'm dropping. This is what happens when I bring my lunch to work. I still want to get out of the office, so I end up shopping. In the last two weeks I have bought a new beach coverup, a striped t-shirt to wear on 4th of July, several pairs of undies (both for everyday and special occasions), midlegnth denim shorts, white jeans, new cork wedges, Blue silk tank top with silver beading around the neck, and perfume. Now I just need to wear it all!

Sidebar: I cleaned out my closet this week, this is always the after effect.

The best part . . .

of our recent family reunion at Disney were moments just like this.
Three cousins coming back from the park
Miss Cutey-Patootie ran up to her Super-Smart cousin and grabbed his hand.
They all talked and walked their way back.

I love spending times with these kids.
They just want to be hanging out together.
No matter time nor distance there is a love and thread that binds them.

They watch out for each other.
They make fun of each other.
They are kids who are loved and loving as a result.

By far the best part of any reunion is
the chance to be with each other
and revel in the shiny and sparkly moments of pure happiness.
